ATMA Eligibility Criteria

To appear for the ATMA exam, you have to fulfil the following ATMA eligibility criteria:

  • You must be a citizen of India.
  • You should hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% marks. For students belonging to a reserved category, the minimum is 45% marks.
  • If you are in your final year of graduation, you can apply provisionally.
  • The ATMA exam eligibility criteria do not include work experience. So, both working and non-working candidates can apply for the exam
  • There is no age limit for applying.

ATMA Registration

Documents required for ATMA registration

Before you begin with the ATMA registration process, you need to have the following documents:

  • Scanned or digital copy photograph and signature with a maximum size of 512 KB.
  • Scanned copy of your latest OBC (Non-creamy) / SC / ST / DAP category certificate as applicable. The maximum size should be 1 MB.
  • Scanned copy of your class 10, 12, and graduation mark sheets with a maximum size of 1 MB.
  • If you are a sponsored applicant, you need to upload sponsoring certificate as per the format available on the official ATMA website.

After you have assembled all the required documents, the next step of the ATMA registration is the ATMA exam fee payment.

  1. Visit the official ATMA website.
  2. Click on the link that says 'Click here to register for ATMA exam'.
  3. You will be redirected to the fee payment page.
  4. You need to enter your personal details including your email ID and mobile number.
  5. Click on the 'Proceed to Fees Payment' button.
  6. Enter your debit/credit card details and make the payment.
  7. On successful payment of the fee, you will receive a Personal Identification Number (PID) on your registered email address and mobile number through an SMS.
  8. The PID will work as the login ID for your ATMA exam.

The ATMA registration fee is 2,000 for all candidates. However, a concession is provided to female candidates as well as to candidates from the North-Eastern states of India (Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura). Here is a proper breakdown of the ATMA exam fee concession provided to them:

After you have completed the fee payment, you will be required to process with filling the ATMA registration form in the following steps:

  • In the ATMA registration form, you need to fill in details including your PID, name, postal address, email ID, date of birth, mobile number, preferred test city, educational qualifications, the exact percentage secured in SSC, HSC, and Graduation, as well as your choice of institutes for reporting your ATMA score.
  • Upload all the documents required, including a passport size photo and your digital signature.
  • Once the ATMA registration process is complete, you will be given your login password. The password will also be sent to your registered email ID.
  • Take a printout of the ATMA registration form.

The ATMA exam syllabus, like the ATMA paper, derives questions from three segments:

The ATMA exam pattern is divided into six sections, and the ATMA question paper will have questions from:

ATMA Admit Card

The ATMA admit card is usually released 2-3 days before the exam is conducted. Successfully registered candidates can download the admit card on the official ATMA website. 

How to download ATMA Admit Card

You can download the ATMA admit card by following the steps below:

  • Go to the login page on the official website.
  • Enter PID and Password.
  • In case you have forgotten your password, you can retrieve it by clicking on the ‘Forgot Password’ option.
  • You will see an option to download after successfully logging in.
  • You can download the admit card as PDF and take a printout.

ATMA Results

ATMA results were declared on 3rd March 2023, for the February session, and 2nd June 2023, for the May session. Results usually come out within 3 - 4 days after the exam. Candidates can check their ATMA results on the official website by logging in using their PID and Password.

Preparation is the avenue to success in all walks of life, and here are some ATMA preparation tips which you can follow:

  • Preparation for Analytical Reasoning: Analytical Reasoning questions test your ability to comprehend and analyze the given statement and reach a conclusion based on your understanding. You should practice previous years’ question papers and mock tests to understand concepts. You can also prepare for this section by solving puzzles and riddles.
  • Preparation for Quantitative Ability: You can prepare by solving the questions from NCERT or Secondary and Higher Secondary level Mathematics textbooks. You should learn the shortcut tricks for solving questions quickly by solving previous years' ATMA question papers.
  • Preparation for Verbal Ability: You must read newspapers, magazines, and books and also refer to Class 8 and Class 9 grammar books to clear the basics of grammar and learn the fundamentals.
