  • Diary technology means the processing of milk and its products.
  • Biochemistry and bacteriology involve processing, packaging, distributing and transporting various dairy products, including milk and ice cream.

Dairy Technology Courses in India

  • Graduate, postgraduate, and doctoral degrees are available in dairy technology.
  • There are two diploma courses of two years: the Indian Dairy Diploma and the National Dairy Diploma.
  • These diploma courses are a basic degree program for a B.Tech or BSc course in dairy science.

Eligibility Criteria - Dairy Technology

The study of dairy technology courses is available in several institutes and universities in India. The following eligibility criteria for dairy technology undergraduate and postgraduate programs:

  • UG courses: Students must graduate from Class 12th in the Science stream with a minimum percentage of 50 - 60 as set by the university or college.
  • PG courses: Applicants should possess a bachelor's degree in dairy technology with a minimum percentage of 50 - 60 as stipulated by the university or college.
