The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an examination held in India that mainly tests the holistic knowledge of several undergraduate subjects in engineering and science for admission to a Master’s programme. GATE 2023 will determine acceptance to many post-graduate programmes (for example, M.Tech, M.E., M. Arch, and PhD) at Indian higher education institutes.

The Indian Institute of Science and seven Indian Institutes of Technology in Roorkee, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Chennai (Madras), and Mumbai jointly administer GATE. Several Indian public sector undertakings recently started using GATE scores to recruit graduate engineers for entry-level positions. (Know more about B.Tech Average Salary).
