IIFT Result 2023: IIFT Score Card, Merit List

IIFT is an entrance exam held only once a year for admission to courses offered by IIFT Delhi, Kolkata, and Kakinada. It is the most befitting MBA entrance exam for candidates seeking acceptance to IIFT for an MBA course and completing the International Business Programmes.

NTA organises the IIFT and invites candidates who pass the overall and sectional IIFT cutoff to participate in the Written Test, Group Discussion (GD), and Personal Interview (PI) in the further selection procedure. After the IIFT 2023 Exam, the authority will release the IIFT 2023 Result for all candidates who took the exam. It informs candidates whether they have passed the IIFT Cut Off or not. 

Highlights of the IIFT Result 

The authorities will announce the IIFT Result 2023 tentatively in January or February. After the merit list is out, qualified candidates can access their scorecards. Candidates who achieve marks equal to or higher than the cut-off will be eligible and invited to participate in the selection process.

• Candidates can access the IIFT scorecard cum result online. To gain access, they must go to the official website of the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade. 
• On the scorecard, candidates can view their sectional and overall scores.
• The scorecard document is in PDF format. Applicants must download it by entering their username and password.
• The applicant's name will then appear in the IIFT shortlist based on their exam scores.

How to Download the IIFT Exam Result?

IIFT Result is only available online because there are no rules against sending it via post or courier. As a result, candidates who appear for the exam can access their IIFT Result cum scorecard online using their login credentials.

• Candidates can access their results and scorecards by visiting the IIFT's official website.
• They must search for and click on the appropriate link on the website's homepage to check the score on the IIFT results date.
• By clicking the link, candidates will download the PDF file to the system, which opens in any PDF reader to check their qualification status. Only the selected candidates' roll numbers would be listed.
• Candidates must enter their IIFT Application Number and Date of Birth to download their scorecard. Submit your information and download the scorecard. Keep the downloaded copy until the admissions process comes to an end.

Calculating the Score Using the IIFT Result 2023

IIFT 2023 Result: What Next? 

After the release of IIFT results in 2023, the institute will publish a merit list of applicants chosen for admission to its MBA-International Business programme. The merit list includes the names and roll numbers of applicants selected for the Essay Writing, Group Discussion, and Personal Interview of the IIFT admission process. 

Last year, 5000 students took the exam, and only 1508 made it to the Group Discussion, Personal Interview, and Essay Writing rounds.

Writing an IIFT Essay: During the 20-minute essay writing test, candidates receive a topic on which to write a brief essay. The exam divides the candidates into eight groups. Topics can range from business and economics to politics and society.

Group Discussion and Personal Interview After the IIFT Result

Group Discussions and Personal Interviews are two essential components of the IIFT 2023 selection process after the release of the IIFT 2023 result. Group discussions and personal interviews assess communication skills, confidence level, interaction skills, personality, and current affairs knowledge. Aside from the essay writing test, the candidate must go through two rounds before receiving an admission offer.

Group Discussion

As part of the IIFT, a group of applicants participates in a group discussion (GD) test that lasts 30 to 40 minutes. During the IIFT GD round, each candidate will have one minute to speak.

Personal Interview 

Applicants who pass the Group Discussion (GD) stage must proceed to the Personal Interview (PI). The IIFT expert panel will interview the shortlisted candidates before deciding on admissions at this stage. This personal interview evaluates a candidate's communication, analytical and problem-solving skills and abilities.

Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai, and Lucknow, will conduct the IIFT's Essay Writing, GD(Group Discussion), and PI(Personal Interview) rounds in February or March 2023. The authorities may or may not conduct the GD or PI online. Since the outbreak of COVID-19, NTA has conducted an online PI round online for the last 2 years. The selected candidates get a letter outlining the schedule and dates for these rounds of the admission process at IIFT.
