JEE Main Paper 2 Syllabus 2023
JEE Main is a national-level entrance exam administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA) to grant undergraduate B.Tech admissions to IITs (Indian Institute of Technology), NITs (National Institute of Technology), and other technical institutions in India. In addition, it serves as a qualifying exam for JEE Advanced, which is required for admission to IITs.
The National Testing Agency will soon finish processing registrations for JEE Main 2023. Therefore, students may submit the JEE Main application form until January 12, 2023. The NTA also releases the brochure for the JEE Main Paper 2 syllabus to help students create a study plan and achieve the desired score on the entrance exam.

JEE Main Syllabus for Paper 2
The Paper 2 JEE Main Syllabus for 2023 includes three sections for both B. Arch and B. Planning:
- Part 1 (Mathematics),
- Part 2 (General Aptitude), and
- Part 3 (Drawing for B. Arch / Planning for B. Plan).
Note: Part 1, Mathematics, is the same for both B. Arch (2A) and B. Planning (2B). Part 2, General Aptitude, is also common for both B. Arch and B. Planning. However, Part 3 includes drawing tasks for B. Arch and general planning questions for B. Plan.

- Transformation of forms, including combining 2D and 3D shapes, creating volumes and surfaces, rotation, subtraction, and creating elevations and plans for three-dimensional objects
- Creating two and three-dimensional compositions using given shapes and forms.
Part 3: JEE Main Drawing Syllabus (For B.Arch)
- Combining and transforming 2D and 3D forms
- Sketching activities and scenes from memory, including urban environments
- Drawing and designing geometrical and abstract shapes and patterns in pencil
- Creating a plan
- Creating two and three-dimensional compositions using given shapes and forms
- Visualizing objects in three dimensions and rotating them to view them from different angles.
Part 3: JEE Main Planning Syllabus (For B.Plan)
- General knowledge about development issues and government programs/schemes
- Ability to comprehend and interpret information
- Critical thinking and analytical skills
- Ability to interpret and understand graphs, charts, and maps
- Reading skills
- Basic understanding of statistics

Is JEE Main Paper 2 Easy?
As per the analysis from previous years, the JEE Main Paper 2 was of moderate difficulty. The Mathematics section in JEE Main 2022, particularly topics like Vector Algebra and Coordinate Geometry, was emphasised more. The drawing section could have been more manageable. However, the General Aptitude section was relatively easier in terms of difficulty.
