Admission Procedure for MCA

The MCA admission process typically involves a written entrance exam and a personal interview. Given below is the detailed admission process for the MCA program. 

  • For graduates to be eligible for the MCA program must have also completed their high school with a minimum of 60% from a recognised board. Along with this, they should have taken maths as a core subject and computer science as an elective subject.
  • They must have completed their bachelor’s from any computer stream such as BCA, B.Sc or B.Com. The minimum passing marks required are 50% in undergraduate.
  • To get admission into top universities students are required to give MCA entrance exam. These exams are either organised by individual universities or the state. After clearing the exam students are called for university counselling. Due to the high demand for MCA admission, it's important to start preparing for the entrance exams well in advance.
  • Apart from this, there are few colleges offering direct admission based on the marks scored in undergraduate. They generally get admission via management quota.
