As of March 11th, 11 am, Anna university has released the TANCET hall tickets for the TANCET entrance exam, which will be held on March 25. Candidates with bachelor’s degrees can apply for the TANCET MBA exam.

More than 200 colleges across Tamil Nadu accept TANCET entrance exam scores. Furthermore, every year more than 40,000 students appear to compete for the 15,000 available seats for the MBA program offered by several universities across Tamil Nadu.

What Is The TANCET Exam

TANCET, meaning or full form, is Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test. It’s an entrance exam conducted by Anna University for students wishing to pursue PG courses. It’s a state-level exam held all across Tamil Nadu for numerous PG programs like - M.Tech. M.Arch. M.Plan. ME, MBA, and MCA programs.

TANCET Eligibility Criteria 

Candidates must have a minimum aggregate of 50% (45% for reserved categories) on graduation. This condition applies to all the pg programs you want to apply to. Here’s a look into the course-wise eligibility for candidates who want to apply for the TANCET exam:

TANCET MCA Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should have a minimum three-year undergraduate bachelor’s degree from BCA or B.Sc. Additionally, students who hold undergraduate degrees from other streams and have studied maths at the 10th, 12th standard level, or graduation level are also eligible.   

  • Graduated 10th, 12th, and a college/university with a  3 / 4 / 5-year course pattern.
  • 10th standard + 3 years diploma + 3 years in a university/college pattern
  • 10th and 12th graduate with an AMIE (Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers) diploma
  • 10th with 3 years diploma (awarded by the State Board of Technical Education) with an AMIE diploma.

TANCET MBA Eligibility Criteria

  • Graduated 10th, 12th, and has a college/university degree with a 3 / 4 / 5-year course pattern.
  • 10th standard + 3 years diploma + 3-year degree from a university/college
  • 10th and 12th with a BE / B.Tech. / B.Arch. / B.Pharm degree.
  • 10th and 12th graduate with AMIE (Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers) diploma
  • 10th with a 3-year diploma (awarded by the State Board of Technical Education) with an AMIE diploma.

TANCET M.E. / M.Tech. / M.Arch./M.Plan. Eligibility Criteria

  • Graduate’s degree from BE / B.Tech. / B.Arch Degree Programs.
  • Graduate’s degree in B.Pharm.
  • 10th and 12th graduate with AMIE (Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers) diploma
  • 10th graduate with a 3-year diploma (awarded by the State Board of Technical Education) with an AMIE diploma.

TANCET Application Process

The application process consists of two parts. The first would be paying for, filling out, and submitting the application form. The second would be to download your admit card from the website after your application has been approved.

Here’s how you apply for the TANCET exam online:

  1. Visit the website and register for an account.
  2. Login with your credentials and pay the application fee.
  3. Fill out the application form with all the relevant details, including your personal details and educational qualifications.
  4. After filling out the form, choose your city of preference to appear for the exam.
  5. Upload any additional documents required to verify your application process. 

Downloading Your TANCET Admit Card

Candidates who’ve applied for the TANCET exam are issued an admit card that will permit them to appear for the exam. The admit card can be downloaded from the official website. There is no other mode of access to the admit card. This admit card will function as your hall ticket, so you must present a hard copy when you appear for the exam.

Here is how to download your TANCET admit card:

  1. Visit the website and click on the hall ticket download option.
  2. Enter your email id and password and the captcha correctly into the given fields. 
  3. Click login. You should be able to download the admit card now.

Note: After appearing for and completing the examination, don’t forget to download your TANCET scorecard.
